One day five years ago, upon an invitation to the Northwoods, I found myself at a beautiful cabin on a lake that soon would become very special to me. After so many years of deep inner transformational work, that trip to the Northwoods inspired in me a journey back to my roots. I can remember during that trip a special moment where the women I was visiting and I created a meal together consisting of traditional foods, homemade sour dough bread, ferments and a salad with ingredients gathered from the local garden that day. The meal was so full of love, so grounded and so nourishing. It was a moment that imprinted such a palpable feeling of presence, slow living and love that my path began to change after that trip.

Since that trip to the Northwoods, I have discovered many passions in knitting, sewing and making things by hand. I have worked with herbs and also cooked many beautiful intuitive meals. I lived in the Northwoods for a year and really got to experience the area, the people and myself deeply as well. While living in the Northwoods, I attended a sewing retreat and learned how to hand-sew my first dress!

I have also reconnected with the little town I grew up in, Valley City, ND. Growing up in that place was so magical for me as I was living so close to nature, swimming in the river everyday in the summer, biking in the country and jumping off hail bails at my Grandparents’ farm. All in all when I create handmade spaces, I pull from the deep roots within myself as well as all of my years reconnecting with my deep feminine intuitive healing nature and my interior design background. When I create handmade clothing, I touch the deep, whimsical, sacred intuitive parts of myself…I’m told I’m “giddy” when I’m creating handmade clothing.
